We are full time missionaries living in Piedras Negras, Mexico. We get to be involved in all kinds of craziness and adventures. Here are some of the stories.

What We're Into

1. Casa De Paz Orphanage
Casa De Paz(or CDP or House of Peace) is an orphanage in Piedras Negras.  Hands and Feet started helping out here in the winter of 2008.  Tex and I have gotten really involved here since last summer and try to be there at least every other day.  We find it to be such a blessing that they have included us in their family by always inviting us to events and making sure we know that their home is our home.  We get to help out by babysitting, preparing meals, helping sort donations, leading construction projects, and providing any other needed support to Alex and Rosy Villareal, the house directors and house parents.  We have learned so much from their parenting styles and love that we get to be a part of their ministry.
2. Aleluya Church and School
Aleluya Church is just a few miles from our house.  It is located in the "monte" or what we would call "the country".  Hands and Feet completed the building of Aleluya Church in 2004 and has since helped with many other projects on the church grounds.  The largest of which is Aleluya school, where when finished, will be capable of housing 120 first to sixth grade students.  Aleluya is an amazing place.  Mari and Flavio Hernandez are the caretakers for the grounds and are incredible servants to the people of the area.  Everyday Mari, organizes a feeding program with a bible study for about 60 children and mothers.  She is an unbelievable woman with a heart for helping anyone she can.  Tex and I love to visit Aleluya and have formed relationships with many people of the congregation.
3. La Reunion Bible Study
La Reunion (The Gathering) is a bible study that started in August of 2009.  It began with 5 people in our home eating dinner and talking about Jesus.  In January of 2010 we moved the study our of the house and into a coffee shop.  Since then it has grown to about 15 regular attendees that meet every Tuesday at 8PM at different member's houses.  Tex and Ramiro work in tandem leading the studies.  We cover all sorts of subjects and have made such wonderful friends in the last few months.  God is blessing our group tremendously and we are so thankful to be a part of a fruitful group here.
